Hiring a designer or drafter

Beyond buying ready-made files, mozExchange has a jobs board where shops hire Mozaik pros for custom work — a kitchen to draft, a set of renders, a library to build, a nest to program, or parts to cut when your own machine is slammed and another shop has spare CNC capacity. Money is held in escrow and only released when you accept the work, so both sides are protected.

Posting a job

1. Go to Jobs → Post a job.
2. Describe the work, pick the discipline (design, drafting, rendering, nesting, CNC programming, production / CNC capacity, or other), set a budget (optional), and a deadline if you have one.
3. Publish it — designers can now bid.

Getting bids and awarding

• Designers submit bids (a price, a timeline, and a note). You'll see them on your job.
• You can also browse designers directly, open a designer's profile, and invite them to your job — with a message thread to work out scope before anyone commits.
• When you pick a bid, you click Award & fund. This charges you the bid amount up front and holds it in escrow — the designer starts knowing the money is secured, but they aren't paid yet.

Delivery, and releasing payment

The awarded job opens a workspace at Jobs → Your contracts, where everything happens:

• The designer delivers their files (uploaded securely — only you and they can download them).
• You either Accept — which releases the payment to the designer (the job price minus the 15% platform fee) and completes the job — or Request a revision with notes, which sends it back.
• If you don't respond within 7 days of a delivery, payment auto-releases to the designer, so they're never left hanging.
• There's a message thread on every contract for coordinating along the way.
• When it's done, both sides leave a review.

If something goes wrong

While a job is funded, either side can Report a problem from the workspace to open a dispute. The money stays frozen and a moderator reviews it, then settles it fairly — released to the designer, refunded to you, or split. Disputes are for genuine problems; a revision request is the normal way to ask for changes.
