About mozExchange
What this is, who runs it, and how it pays for itself.
mozExchange is a community marketplace for Mozaik Cabinet Software resources — inserts, products, libraries, profiles and molding, textures and colors, hardware, appliances, windows and doors.
Why it exists
Every Mozaik shop solves the same problems alone. Someone models a Blum pull-out from scratch. Someone else hunts a four-year-old forum thread for a shaker door profile. Someone photographs a Sherwin-Williams color deck to build textures that another shop built last month.
The work already exists. It's just scattered across Facebook groups, personal Dropbox links, and a handful of one-seller sites with no search, no previews, and no way to know whether a file is any good before you download it.
mozExchange makes that work compound. Model the corner lazy-susan once; two thousand shops install it in a click.
Who runs it
mozExchange is community-run and independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Mozaik Software. Items here are made by Mozaik users, not by Mozaik.
Branded content — a Blum hinge, a Pella window, a Sherwin-Williams color — is measured by the community and labelled "compatible with." It is not official manufacturer data unless a listing explicitly says so.
How it pays for itself
A 15% fee on paid items, and nothing else. No ads, no donations, no subscription needed to use the site.
The community is never paywalled. Comments, requests, the idea exchange, and free downloads stay open to everyone, always. They're the reason the marketplace works — a search that finds nothing becomes a request, a request becomes an item, and the item makes the next search better.
The rules that make it work
- Sellers keep 85%
- Every item must ship with a README that explains how to install and use it
- Your downloads are permanent — files don't vanish when a seller leaves
- 14 days to refund anything that doesn't import or isn't as described
