Installing marketplace libraries into Mozaik

Where downloaded files go

Every item you buy or download lands in your Library permanently. When you download, you get a .zip — unzip it, and inside you'll find the Mozaik files plus a README from the seller with install instructions specific to that item.

The general shape is always the same: Library → Import inside Mozaik, point it at the unzipped folder, and the parts, profiles, or textures appear in your library. The seller's README covers anything item-specific.

Keeping a multi-seller library clean

Once you're installing from several shops, a little discipline pays off:

  • Keep the original zips. Your mozExchange library re-downloads forever, but a local copy means you can reinstall offline.
  • Watch for naming collisions. Two sellers might both ship a "Base Cabinet" part. Mozaik namespaces by library, but it's worth installing into clearly-named library folders.
  • Note the Mozaik version. Each item lists the versions it supports. Installing a v13 library into v11 usually fails quietly — check the compatibility line on the item page first.

Updates

When a seller ships a new version of something you own, your Library shows an Update available badge. Pull the new version at no cost, re-import, and you're current. The version history on the item page tells you what changed before you update.
