Pricing your work: free, paid, or both

Free vs paid

Free items are your storefront. A well-made free insert or a useful texture pack builds a following, earns reviews, and sends buyers to your paid work. Many top sellers keep a handful of strong free items alongside their catalog for exactly this reason.

Paid items are the income. You keep 85% of every sale — the 15% platform fee includes payment processing. Price between $1 and $499.

What actually sells

  • Spec-accurate model numbers. A buyer searching BI-36UFD wants exactly that appliance. Generic titles never get found.
  • Honest CAM flags. "Includes CAM" is a filter buyers rely on. A visual-only model is a fine product — sold as visual-only. Sold as shop-ready, it's a refund.
  • A real README. The single most common complaint about shared Mozaik files is one nobody can install. Ten minutes of install instructions prevents most refunds and one-star reviews.

Single-shop vs multi-seat

Every paid item sells under a single-shop license by default — one shop, unlimited jobs. You can also offer a multi-seat license at a higher price for businesses running Mozaik across several locations; buyers choose at checkout.

If your work is likely to be used by multi-location cabinet businesses, offering multi-seat captures revenue you'd otherwise lose to one shop buying once and sharing internally.

Getting paid

The first time you price an item above $0, you'll set up Stripe Connect — a few minutes for bank and tax details. After that, payouts run on a rolling schedule you can see in your dashboard.
